Position Description:

Reports to the Segment Manager.  Manage and supervise at a project level all engineering and administrative policies, procedures and functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Procure, install and commission equipment required for bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing plants and oral dosage plants.

Coordinate expediting, receiving and recording of technical documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, to ensure client quality and qualification requirements are met.

Manage and update the Access Database as documentation is received and recorded.

Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for pharmaceutical equipment.

Lead commissioning and validation for utilities and pharmaceutical process equipment.

Meet federal regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical cGMP utilites and cGMP equipment.

Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases.

Control expenditures within limitations of project budget.

Manage procurement close out, including securing warranties, guarantees and acceptance of work, sub-contract and vendor close, final payment and records retention.

Maintain EEO compliances.

Perform other duties as assigned.



Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of three year's related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Understanding of construction accounting principles and cost control procedures.

Experience with estimating, scheduling, purchasing, as well as engineering principles and techniques.

Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access.

Experience with Primavera scheduling desirable.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods utilized in the construction industry.

Very strong oral and written communication skills required.


Travel Requirements:

Extensive travel will be required as the jobsite location(s) will be dependent on the geographical locations of initial and future project(s).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
